Corrupted CC, how to find it?hi all, i just came back to sims 3 after quite a long time of struggling with downloading it again. I downloaded a bunch of CC, most of which i had saved in a folder from a long time ago, thinking i'd just be able to hop back in without any consequence. I should have known better considering how bad my luck is and the fact that i've had this exact problem before (i gave up and didn't touch sims 3 for several years as a result).is there any way i can find the corrupt CC?
I deleted all of the sims3pack files in the downloads folder so it's too late to do it that way. I only have extracted packages now. Do i have to uninstall all of it and redownload it again??
EeEDIT: why did this post in 'Where can I find'?? I clicked 'make a new thread' while in the help section. Something I started doing that might help you in the future is to make folders inside your packages folder. I take all my new downloads, put them in a folder, put the date as the folder name and put that folder inside of my packages folder. Then delete compositorCache, scriptCache and simCompositorCache and restart my game. If the game crashes, pull folders or packages from the folder until you find the offender.Probably best to limit the number of new downloads to 5 or 10 per new download folder to make it easier to find the offender if your game starts crashing after installing new cc.Delphy's tool can convert sims3packs to package files.
Once you have downloaded and installedType in your creator name in the bottom right hand corner. Then click on 'My CC'2. Depending on how much custom content you have installed it may take a few minutes to load up. Let it do its thing.3.
When it finally loads your screen will look like the image below. On the left side you will have all of your Mods listed.(I have all of my mods separated in individual folders by creator and location.)You can click on your mods and an image of the item will show up in the view window. Along with all Swatches and Tags.If you want to remove a swatch:Select the swatch color you would like to remove and then click 'Remove Swatch.' If you want to change a tag:For example, the black skirt below is tagged as 'White' and I want to change it to 'Black'.Uncheck the color marked 'White'. Check the color you would like to tag it to 'Black', then hit 'Apply to all swatches'.After changing ANY tag make sure to hit 'Apply to all swatches' or it will not save.Once you have changed the.package to your liking hit 'Save' in the bottom right hand corner.4. If you do not want the package you have selected, you can simply hit 'Delete' and it will remove the.package from your Mods folder.(Some.package files will not show a image in the display window.
This means that there is not a mesh associated with that.package. This means that the item is a recolor of another.package that includes the mesh.)(Makeup and other skin details / tattoos will also not show up in the view window.)TIP: For items that are for Decor. Make sure that you categorize them as Decor and not just the clutter tag.
It will not show up in your game unless you search for it by title.
